"Be" is a song about preoccupying thoughts or anxieties and how sometimes the only time one feels completely present is during a quiet moment in nature, where one can simply "Be". The somewhat harrowing and cinematic drama of the instrumental introduction illustrates the emotional exhaustion felt by those who carry the weight of anxiety or intrusive thoughts. The verse brings a more controlled intensity with slow and heavy pulsating industrial electronics and percussion, whilst the original sad and anxious chord progression of the piano continues underneath. The first lyrics are , "There is a worm in your brain, it always looks and sounds the same", referring to one's seemingly inescapable personal demons. The refrain is a complete change of color and feel, the harmonies sound more optimistic, the vocal melody more sonorous, and the words illustrate standing before the ocean, breathing, and being able to just "Be".

There is a worm in your brain, it always looks and sounds the same, these feelings come these feelings go. But the worm in your brain, slithers to and fro. Making murky water where it crawls, seed of doubt planting foot falls. But the fault, is no one’s but your own.

Pretty pastures, pure and green, golden hour, gleaming. Take a moment to smell the sea, a quiet second just to be.

The shadow of your other self, follows you closely from behind, watching your every move, with disproving eyes. Preoccupation with what could have been had you not been afraid to feel the feelings within, had you laid in the bed you made.
